Counseling can be powerful for navigating and overcoming life's obstacles, but it's important to understand that it is a process that takes time. While some people may experience relief after just a few sessions, meaningful and lasting change is often a slow and gradual journey.

Read the steps below to get started with Morning Light Counseling.

  1. Scheduling request

Complete the initial scheduling request inquiry by filling out the form on the contact page. Someone will respond within 2 business days.

  2. Intake paperwork

You will be given a link to the client portal where you will complete initial intake paperwork and be able to schedule appointments.

  3. A brief phone call

Time will be set for a brief phone call to discuss any questions you might have prior to the first session.

We live in a fallen world, and we experience its brokenness every day. This brokenness impacts our lives deeply; we feel it both within ourselves as well as in the circumstances coming towards us.

Counseling provides a way to make sense of these experiences. Through telling our story, we can begin to understand our journey. Vitally, your personal story isn't isolated; it's intricately woven into the greater story of God's redemptive plan for fallen humanity.

Out of network providers: We'll gladly provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance provider. Please remember that co-pays, deductibles, and any amounts not covered by your insurance remain your responsibility.

Because of federal regulations governing Medicare and Medicaid, we are unable to accept clients with these insurances, even for self-paid services. we are not in-network with these programs.

What is your self-pay rate?

Self-pay rate is $125 per session. If you're paying without insurance, you're entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of costs before we begin — see the Good Faith Estimate page for details.

What ages do you see in office?

Generally, we see ages 12 and older. Please reach out if you have any specific questions related to this. On occasion we will see younger ages depending on maturity level and willingness to engage in the counseling process.

Can we meet online?

Yes. We see men in person at our Manheim office and by secure video anywhere in Pennsylvania using an embedded, HIPPA compliant platform. If meeting online, please ensure that you have both a proper connection and a private meeting space.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes. What you share in counseling is protected by law and professional ethics. The narrow exceptions — like an imminent risk of serious harm to yourself or someone else, or suspected abuse of a child — are ones I'll walk you through plainly before we start.

Ready when you are

Reaching out takes two minutes. I respond within two business days, and a brief phone call comes before any commitment.
